As a professional live band rooted in Hong Kong, FATI LIVE BAND has performed at a wide variety of events over the years—ranging from wedding banquets and corporate anniversaries to large-scale commercial functions. However, the highlight that has truly thrilled our entire team is our invitation to perform at this year’s "2026 Sun Life Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Festival," a signature annual event organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board. It is a genuine honor for us to perform on such a prestigious international stage.
Golden Jubilee: A Grand International Competition
This year’s "Sun Life Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Invitational Races" holds special significance as it marks the event's 50th anniversary—its Golden Jubilee. As a flagship event championed by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, this year’s edition was grander than ever, attracting thousands of the world’s top athletes to compete. With over 220 local and overseas teams gathering at Victoria Harbour, the competition was fierce, and the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront was electric with a vibrant international atmosphere. This event is not merely a sporting spectacle; it is a vital platform for Hong Kong to showcase its energy and passion to the world. FATI LIVE BAND is deeply honored to be part of this occasion, demonstrating to a global audience that Hong Kong’s live music scene is truly world-class.
Grand Finale Guest Performers: A Two-Hour Musical Extravaganza
FATI LIVE BAND took on the role of the grand finale act for the Dragon Boat Carnival, delivering a two-hour live performance along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront. We curated a setlist perfectly suited for a party atmosphere, ranging from classic English hits to upbeat pop songs, performing one after another for the tourists and locals in the crowd. We saw an audience from all corners of the globe—some swaying to the rhythm, others snapping photos and sharing the moment on social media, and some international visitors even dancing right in front of the stage. That musical resonance, transcending language and culture, is precisely the unique charm of a live band. Being able to connect people from diverse backgrounds through music was a truly precious experience for FATI LIVE BAND.
The entire month was filled with the spirit of the Dragon Boat Festival.
This year’s Dragon Boat Festival features not only exciting races and performances but also a large-scale interactive installation—the "Sun Life Hong Kong Dragon Boat Co-creation Station"—set up by the Hong Kong Tourism Board along the Tsim Sha Tsui Avenue of Stars and the K11 MUSEA Promenade. Running for 13 consecutive days from June 19 to July 1, the station invites locals and tourists alike to design their own unique dragon boats for free and snap photos against the stunning backdrop of Victoria Harbour. The entire Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront is filled with a joyful atmosphere, perfectly blending commerce with art. FATI LIVE BAND is deeply grateful to have participated in such a meaningful event; not only did we have the opportunity to perform for international visitors, but we also witnessed the success of a major Hong Kong celebration. We once again extend our sincere thanks to the organizers for the invitation.
