The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Chinese festival rooted in the commemoration of the patriotic poet Qu Yuan. With customs such as wrapping zongzi (sticky rice dumplings), hanging mugwort, and racing dragon boats, the festival embodies a deep cultural heritage of honoring ancestors and cherishing one's homeland. This year, that spirit shone even brighter along the shores of Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour. The "Sun Life Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Invitational" concluded successfully; marking its 50th anniversary, the event was upgraded to the "Sun Life Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Festival," extending the excitement throughout the summer. Held at the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront and the Avenue of Stars, the event saw teams paddling with all their might while the roar of the crowd created a vibrant, memorable atmosphere. That evening, the dazzling nightscape and its reflection in the harbour formed a breathtaking backdrop for Hong Kong. FATI LIVE BAND was honoured to accept the invitation from the Hong Kong Tourism Board to serve as the headline act for the closing ceremony of this summer extravaganza, sharing the infectious energy of jazz and pop music to create a shared, moving experience with the audience. May the rhythm of the music add a brilliant new chapter to this fifty-year legacy.

Ancient Chinese tradition - 100 day celebration

The traditional Chinese "100-Day Banquet" celebrates a newborn reaching the age of one hundred days—a milestone symbolizing healthy growth and a long, prosperous life. It is a joyous and heartwarming occasion where family and friends gather to offer their blessings. Built during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, the Tang Ancestral Hall boasts a history of over two centuries, bearing witness to the evolution and heritage of the Tang clan in Ha Tsuen. Serving as a spiritual anchor for the clan, it embodies historical memory while symbolizing unity and traditional values. In recognition of its unique architectural and cultural significance, it was designated a declared monument in 2007. On this occasion, FATI LIVE BAND performed at this historic site for little Camellia’s 100-day celebration. The event blended tradition with modernity; alongside a traditional lion dance, the band played English songs, infusing the ancient hall with contemporary energy. This fusion of Eastern and Western cultures created a unique atmosphere where guests enjoyed a traditional poon choi feast while immersing themselves in a rich musical and cultural experience. We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Tang for their warm hospitality and for sharing the wonderful, close-knit spirit of the Ha Tsuen Tang clan. We wish the clan members good health, and we hope the next generation grows up strong, happy, and wise.
50th Wedding Anniversary- Our Love is Stronger Than Gold
A golden wedding anniversary celebration is a grand occasion honoring a couple’s fifty years of life together—a milestone symbolizing a love as enduring, precious, and steadfast as gold. It was an honor for us to perform at the golden wedding celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Keung, an evening filled with love and warmth. Invited to provide musical entertainment, and guided by the thoughtful planning of their beloved daughter, we curated a special program of nostalgic hits—spanning both Hong Kong classics and international favorites—that we knew the couple cherished.
During the banquet, our singers delivered soulful renditions of classic ballads, conveying heartfelt blessings through their music. The excitement peaked when the band switched to high-energy dance tracks; guests couldn't resist hitting the dance floor, creating a jubilant atmosphere as everyone celebrated this remarkable half-century of love. This celebration was not only a testament to the couple's enduring bond and mutual devotion over the past fifty years but also a heartwarming family gathering. We once again offer our warmest congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Keung on their golden anniversary, wishing them continued good health and a love that remains as strong as gold.
